Frequently asked questions

Is the Cusco Tourist Ticket included?

No. You’ll need it for Chinchero, Moray and Ollantaytambo. Bring cash in soles to buy it.

What does the day look like?

About 10 hours. We pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m. and drop into the Urubamba valley, some six hundred metres below Cusco, which makes it feel milder. Lunch is included, with a main course and one drink, as is the entrance to the Maras salt pans.

Why do the Sacred Valley before Cusco city?

Altitude. The valley sits lower than Cusco, so spending your first full day there helps you acclimatise better than staying in the city. Many travellers find this out too late and lose their first day in Cusco to a headache. If your itinerary allows it, this tour makes a good first day.
