The experience
From La Punta, a shared boat crosses Callao Bay past naval ships, rugged islets and seabird colonies where Humboldt penguins rest on the rocks. At the Palomino Islands, pull on a wetsuit and swim in calm, protected water as curious sea lions glide around you, then enjoy a light snack on the way back.
Tip: wear swimwear under your clothes and bring a towel for the ride back.
Step by step
We pick you up at your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro or Barranco. The drive to the jetty in La Punta takes about 40 minutes.
Check-in at the Comandante Fanning 145 jetty: port control, passenger lists and life jackets. About 30 minutes.
We sail out past the yacht anchorage, navy and merchant ships, and head into open water over the El Camotal shallows.
We skirt San Lorenzo Island, with a history reaching back to pre-Columbian times, past fishing boats, guano bird colonies and Humboldt penguins.
We reach Palomino Island, the farthest point. You pull on a wetsuit and swim among a large colony of sea lions, in waters with no predators.
We cruise back through a channel of cliffs and striking rock formations, heading for the jetty in Callao.
We dock in Callao and drive you back to your hotel. Estimated arrival: 1:30 pm.

Good to know before you go
Same price per person for 1 to 12 travellers, whether you come alone or with a group. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour. Your total is confirmed before you pay.
The route and the islands are the same. On the shared tour you travel by boat alongside other guests and pay a fixed price per person. On the private tour the boat and the guide are just for your group, and it adds a snack and chilled water on board, towels, swimming goggles and a bottle of wine for a toast on the way back. The “What’s included” list changes when you select each option.
Sailing depends on sea conditions and on clearance from the Port Authority. If high tide, strong winds, swell or a Port Authority order make it unsafe, we tell you as soon as we know and you choose between rescheduling for another day or a full refund. We never sail unless safety is assured.
Yes. The Port Authority or the pier operator may move the departure earlier or later. We confirm your exact pickup time the day before and, if anything changes, we let you know straight away on WhatsApp.
