Your guide welcomes you at the main entrance of the Gran Hotel Bolívar, Jirón de la Unión 958, on Plaza San Martín.
Plaza San Martín
An elegant square framed by landmarks such as the Gran Hotel Bolívar, the twin buildings and the Teatro Colón.
Jirón de la Unión
Walk what was once Lima’s most aristocratic street, still one of the most iconic in the capital.
Basílica de La Merced
A stop at one of the Historic Center’s finest Baroque churches. If it’s open, we step inside.
Plaza Mayor
The heart of colonial Lima, surrounded by the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Club de la Unión.
San Francisco Monastery & Catacombs
On the way, we pass the Historic Library and the traditional Bar Cordano. The tour ends with a visit to the underground catacombs.

What is the difference between the private and the shared tour?
The route, the schedule and the catacombs ticket are the same. On the shared tour you walk alongside other travelers, pay a fixed price per person and can book from 1 traveler. On the private tour the guide is yours alone, the price per person drops as the group grows, and the minimum is 2 travelers.
Can children join?
Yes. Children 0–3 join free, children 4–11 get 20% off the standard rate, and from 12 the adult rate applies.
Where do we meet?
Your guide waits at the main entrance of the Gran Hotel Bolívar, Jirón de la Unión 958, on Plaza San Martín. This tour starts there and does not include hotel pickup; if you would rather be picked up, we run the same route in the version with pickup and drop-off.
