Lima Historic Center Walking Tour & San Francisco Catacombs

We will start our trip by picking you up from your accommodation and heading to Lima Historic Center.

• Saint Martin Square
  Our first stop will be the extraordinary Saint Martin Square, a symbol of elegance and history, surrounded by iconic landmarks such as the Grand Bolivar Hotel, the beautiful twin buildings, and the Colon Theater.
• Union Street
  Step back in time as we walk along the renowned Union Street, once the most aristocratic street in Lima. One of the city’s most distinguished figures and remains one of the most emblematic streets in the capital.
• Basílica de La Merced
  Admire the beautiful Church of La Merced, considered by many architects and art historians one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Lima’s Historic Center. Originally built before the foundation of Lima, the church has been carefully restored over the centuries while preserving its remarkable beauty. If open during our visit, we may also explore its elegant interior.
• Lima’s Main Square
  The heart of Lima’s colonial past. Admire the magnificent architecture of the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop’s Palace, the City Hall, and the Union Club.
• Saint Francisco Monastery& Catacombs
  On our way to the Monastery of San Francisco, we’ll pass by the Historic Library and the Bar Cordano, before concluding with a visit to the fascinating underground Catacombs.
